Is there a “silver bullet” for a cancer cure? Or is a cure a myth? This article is intended to explore a technique and device that possibly could be a magical cure.

John Kanzius is a retired businessman and radio technician and leukemia patient.  Shortly after he and his wife retired to Florida he was diagnosed with terminal leukemia.

While receiving chemotherapy he noticed all the young children going through the same treatment. His heart went all to the smiles on the innocent faces as they fought for their lives. He felt there had to be a way to cure cancer.

One of the side effects of his therapy was intense nausea which prevented him from sleeping at night. One night  while he could not sleep he came up with an idea of curing cancer with radio waves.  Take into consideration that he had no formal training as a researcher or as a scientist….yet he could not allow this idea to go untested.

He theorized that if the cancer cells could be isolated that radio waves could destroy them. His first “machine" was made with old pie pans, and the guinea pig was a hot dog.

The first primitive machine was made in 2003. Then a more sophisticated version was made for the small sum of $200,000.00.

The process is quite simple. “nanoparticles” are injected into the cancer cells, and radio waves are sent through them. In approximately 15 seconds the nanoparticles heat to a boil and the infected cells explode without harming the surrounding good cells. No chemotherapy, no surgery….the cancer is gone!

Presently, researchers at M.D. Anderson in Houston and The University of Pittsburgh are experimenting and revising this machine. There have been multiple tests on rats and rabbits. In each animal study the cancer cells have been totally eradicated with no recurrence. There have been no reported side effects.  Amazing! Even more amazing is that the procedure works on all types of cancer cells!

Researchers have some questions. The biggest is whether it will work with cancer that has metastasized to other organs.  If it does not, it would limit the effectiveness of the procedure. They also caution that just because the procedure works in animals, it does not necessarily mean that it will work in humans.

Clinical trials in humans are “at least 4 years away.” FOUR YEARS! The trials could take several years to complete. This means the procedure may not be available to the general public until 2013. That is a long wait!

Why such a long wait? Patient safety? One would think that a patient with a terminal illness isn’t necessarily going to be concerned with safety, when nothing is stopping the growth of a tumor.

Here is one theory that makes sense. Pharmaceutical companies make billions of dollars of profit on cancer medication each year. Billions of dollars of profits they will lose if a cure for cancer is discovered.  In order to prevent this loss they will lobby (and possible bribe) the FDA to delay approval on clinical trials for the Kanziuz Machine.

I recommend that everyone that reads this article write their congressmen, imploring them to pass legislation to expedite clinical trials on this project With this being an election year, if congress receives enough letters….they may listen.
